Complex of Palace in Kurozwęki

In the second half of the 14th century in Kurozwęki they erected a castle referred to in a document dating back to 1400 as “castrum Curoswank”. unique attraction is a herd of over 80 American buffaloes in, which can be admired from the interior of “safari buffalo” carriage.

Former Cracow Bishops’ Palace in Kielce

The palace belonged to the Cracovian bishops who owned large estates in the Świętokrzyski region. The residence founded by bishop Jakub Zadzik (1582-1642) was erected on the Cathedral Hill. It is considered to be the best-preserved architectural construction in Poland from the Vasa dynasty times.

Knight Castle in Sobków

Manor House in Śmiłów

The Manor House was built in the second half of the 18th century in baroqe style by Józef Wierciński. In the 19th century the object was rebuilt in classical style. Today, the manor house presents historic interiors fitted with artistic cloths, lamp collections and furniture.

Royal Castle in Chęciny

On top of the highest rocky mountain in the environs, known as Mt Zamkowa, stands a ruin of the Gothic Royal Castle of Chęciny. It was erected before 1306, and king Władysław Łokietek, bishop Jan Muskate, and king Władysław II are mentioned as its founders.

Royal Castle in Sandomierz

Both the Sandomierz defensive walls and the castle were constructed during the reign of king Kazimierz III Wielki (14th c.). The castle was erected on the Castle Hill in place once occupied by a stronghold (10th c.). It was a residence of prince Henryk Sandomierski, son of king Bolesław III Krzywousty (1086-1138).

Szydłów - Medieval Town

Szydłów acquired the name of Polish Carcassonne thanks to its well-preserved medieval urban layout and fortification walls (680 m)with the Renaissance Cracovian Gate. Built of the locally extracted limestone in the 14th century, the city walls were 1080 meters long and 1.8m thick.
