Description

A place where you can take an extraordinary journey back in time and learn not only about the herbs that could be used to treat people, but also the ones that could prove fatal. Your guide to the unusual world of plants will be Marcin  of Urzędów – a 16th-century botanist who lived and worked in Sandomierz.

As you wander through the exhibition rooms, you will see pictures of some of the most famous poisonings in history and learn blood-curdling stories about some of the poisoned objects. You will see a small herb garden as well, though we would advise against picking any of them. The exhibition also presents elixirs known to the 
famous House of Borgia, as well as more modern methods of detoxification.

Czary Napary [Magic Infusions] is the only interactive exhibition in Poland on the magical powers of 
plants and mushrooms.
