In Oblęgorek, near Strawczyn, there is an estate of Henryk Sienkiewicz a Polish Noble Prize Winner, which the writer received as a gift from the society on the occasion of the completion of his twenty-five- year-long period of literary work.
At present, the mansion houses the Museum devoted to his life and work. It faithfully shows the arrangement of rooms and the furnishings from the time when the place was inhabited by the Sienkiewicz family. The biographic and literary exhibition provides plenty of information about the writer and his non-literary activity and travels. One can find there some most valuable souvenirs: albums, addresses, documents and letters sent to the celebrator of the jubilee in acknowledgement, appreciation and admiration for his talent.
