The Purple Valley – the historical home of fruit farming in southern Poland – is a region where exquisite plums have been grown for centuries. We currently offer more than 45 varieties of this fruit, and also produce apples, sweet cherries, apricots and bilberries using the most innovative growing and orchard maintenance methods.
The plum capital of Poland is the beautiful medieval town of Szydłów, which is also known as Purple Valley, Stone Town or the Polish Carcassonne. If you fancy going on an unusual tour of Szydłów, be sure to start off with a tasting of plum delicacies in the heart of the town.
The Old Town Hall in the market square is where you’ll find our Plum Boutique and Tasting Room, where we hold our tasting panels – a unique adventure where the plum takes the starring role. Our wide-ranging products – such as our Szydłowianka plum in chocolate, Szydłów prunes with a Protected Geographical Indication certificate (dried by the traditional method in wood-fired kilns), excellent plum jams in a variety of flavours, handmade chocolates, plum ketchups, chutneys, plum cordials, plum brandy and meads – are all sure to delight visitors with their exquisite taste. Come and try one of our tasting panels in the Old Town Hall in Szydłów.
