In Strawczyn Commune you will spend the whole day and you will not be bored! You will find here places and monuments connected with famous writers, beautiful nature and a lot of entertainment.
On the Świętokrzyskie literary trail
Most of you have heard of Oblęgorek. You should associate it with Henryk Sienkiewicz. It is here that the Palace is located, which the writer received as a gift from the society on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his literary work. You will reach it via the centuries-old Linden Avenue, and above the entrance to the building you will see a stone figure of a hussar, alluding to the ‘Trilogy’. Inside, there is a stylish museum dedicated to Sienkiewicz's biography and works. Surrounding the building is an English-style park which invites you to take a walk and relax. Stefan Żeromski, another of the famous Polish writers of the turn of the 20th century, was born in Strawczyn. The prose writer spent the first years of his life here. Almost exactly on the spot where he was born today stands a commemorative boulder, a model of his house and a bench with a statue of Żeromski.
Astonishing natural treasures
The Strawczyn area surprises you with its natural peculiarities. Did you expect to see loess ravines here? Combine your visit to Oblęgorek with a walk to the ‘Barania Góra’ nature reserve. You can get there by taking the black trail from the Palace gate. Regardless of the season, you will be enchanted by this place! In spring you will be enchanted by the anemones and hellebores in bloom there, in summer you will have a green canopy over your head, in autumn you will walk on a rustling carpet of leaves, and in winter your attention will be drawn to the towering trunks of the beech trees.

Another place you should see in the Strawczyn municipality is the Perzowa Góra Nature Reserve. On a small hill overgrown with an old forest complex, among the Triassic rock outcrops, a small stone cave has been created. The locals decided to dedicate it to St. Rozalia, the patron saint of pestilence.
