This zoo located on ul. Wygwizdów in Lisów, Morawica municipal, in the Świętokrzyskie province, is one of five private zoos in Poland and the only one in the Świętokrzyskie region.
Since opening the zoo in 2002, the owners Paweł and Aleksandra Zawadzki have gradually expanded their menagerie, building new corrals, aviaries and pathways year on year. Today, it covers an area of 30 ha and is home to more than 500 animals of around 120 different species from six continents, including the African lion,
servals and the only blesbok antelopes in Poland. It is both a living nature lesson and a great place to
relax, with the many free attractions including a playground, barbecue sites and hammocks, as well as
free parking.
Leśne Zacisze Zoo is a member of the Association of Directors of Polish Zoos and Aquariums (since 2020) and the Regional Tourist Organisation, and it has received numerous prestigious industry awards.
