The beneficial properties of the local climate have been known for a long time and in the early 20th century Czarniecka Góra acquired a spa status. The Świętokrzyskie Rehabilitation Center specializes in treatment of locomotory conditions resulting from injuries and neurological, orthopedic and rheumatic problems; it also deals with scoliosis and similar defects as well as with respiratory system dysfunctions. Hippotherapy is conducted by well-qualified therapists. Due to air-conditioned facilities the center is in operation the whole year round.
