Who hasn't seen Father Mateusz? There is probably no one who does not know the detective in a cassock. The series will end one day, but Sandomierz has kept Father Mateusz forever.
The exhibition has become a permanent attraction of the city. To see it, just visit Rynek 5 in Sandomierz, in the Konwikt Boboli tenement house opposite the Town Hall.
Visitors to the exhibition can enter the church, which they previously only knew from the television screen. They will also visit the bishop's room, the presbytery, the police station and even a prison cell. Another unusual attraction are the life-size wax figures of the actors.
Visitors will see Father Mateusz Żmigrodzki, housekeeper Natalia Borowik and police officers Orest Możejka and Mieczysław Nocul at work. All rooms have been arranged to resemble those from the series, using original set design elements!
On an area of 300 m2, we have created a space that faithfully reflects the atmosphere of the most important locations in the Father Mateusz series.
Additional attractions await visitors to the exhibition. One of them is a shop with original merchandise from the series. Special privileges await all those who visit the World of Father Mateusz, as they will be the first to learn new details about the upcoming seasons of the series. They will also find out which characters and new storylines will appear in the next episodes.
